Located between Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlan, the "Bay" has retained its charm as a quiet fishing village and nature preserve, whose estuary is the home of some of the rarest wildlife on the planet.

Stay at the renowned "La Quinta Inn" and delight in exquisite kosher cuisine with that touch of Latino flavor.

You will quickly master standing up on your board in the beautiful, easy rolling waves at Matanchen- an ideal and safe place for beginning surfers of any age.

Hands-on surfing instruction begins every morning with a two-hour lesson from our knowledgeable and safety conscious staff. After breakfast, you will practice skills learned that morning throughout the day, as long as you wish.

But that's just the beginning....Rabbi Shifren will explain the Surf and Soul holistic concept of incorporating the new knowledge gained in surfing, physical fitness, superior nutrition and positive thinking into your personal life, changing you and your relationships for the better.

Rabbi Shifren has spent more than 40 years as a big-wave surfer in Oahu's North Shore, the Mexican Pipeline, and Central America. A former Malibu lifeguard, he is certified in CPR and First Aid. He has traveled the US and Europe, speaking about his concepts before audiences, young and old. Join him on this unique adventure...the "Surf and Soul" concept!

Surf and Soul Kosher Surf Camp in Mexico Includes:

Accomodations and meals at the "La Quinta"

Daily surf lessons with board.

Activities Including:

An afternoon at the world-famous "La Tovara". Swim and dive in this cool natural spring, the source for the entire estuary and home to a myriad of animal life. Our tour guide will take you tosee real crocodiles and other rare animals protected by the nature preserve.

Take a bike trip to "La Fortaleza", where the Spanish explorer Cabrillo estabilished the first port in the Pacific

Visit the mountain village of the Huichol Indians for an unusual look at their exquisite embroidery and artifacts

guided tours for a bird-watching in the estuary

Optional: diving and deep-sea fishing excursions available at the Port.
